Some homes just need more than a coat of paint. This one needed a full exterior overhaul - from the bones out. Missing plywood, no insulation, worn siding that had seen better days. It's the kind of deferred maintenance that doesn't fix itself, and the longer it sits, the worse it gets.
We started by going back to basics. Missing plywood was installed first to give everything a solid foundation. Then came the insulation - because a good-looking exterior that leaks heat and air is really just a cosmetic fix. We do this right or we don't do it at all.
From there, we installed James Hardie fiber cement siding. If you haven't worked with Hardie before, here's why it matters - it holds up against moisture, pests, and impact in ways that wood and vinyl simply can't match. It's built to last decades, not years. We topped the roof with architectural shingles that add dimension and durability you can actually see from the street.
The finishing touch was the color scheme - crisp white siding with sharp black trim. Clean. Modern. Bold. It took a tired farmhouse and gave it a look that feels intentional, not accidental. That black-and-white contrast does a lot of heavy lifting visually, and it works perfectly with the farmhouse structure.
This is what a real exterior renovation looks like when every layer gets the attention it deserves. Not just surface-level work - structural improvements paired with premium materials and a finished look that actually holds up over time.
